Your data

How we look after your data

A Brick for Colombia is a project backed by Fundación Effi. We ask for the minimum needed to lay your brick or to help you, and we use it only for that. Here is all of it, no small print.

What data we use

When you give: payments are processed by Wompi (Bancolombia). We see the name, email or phone and the amount on the payment. Your card or account details never go through our page.

On the wall: we publish only your first name — the one on the payment or the one you asked for. No last name, no email, no phone, and not how much you gave.

When you write to the assistant: your name, your email or phone, what you tell us about your case and any photos or videos you choose to send. If your house was damaged, also the town and how your support chain stands.

What for

To record your gift and put your name on the wall; to thank you and let you know if a payment didn't go through; and so a person on the team can answer what you asked the assistant. We don't sell or lend your data, and we don't use it for anyone's advertising.

Who with, and where

Wompi processes payments. Resend delivers emails. Vercel hosts the page and counts visits without cookies or personal data. What you tell the assistant —and any photos, videos or documents you send— is kept in a private campaign archive that only the team can open; urgent cases also reach the team by email. None of it has a public address.

We never pass a family's details to donors, nor donors' details to anyone else.

What you can ask for

To know what data of yours we have, to correct it, to change or remove your name from the wall, and to have it deleted when it's no longer needed. It's your right under Colombian law (Ley 1581 of 2012) and it costs nothing.

To change or remove a name on the wall we first check the payment is yours, so nobody can touch someone else's brick.
